STAY REBELLIOUS!
Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (the "Terms") apply when you, as a private individual (consumer), purchase products from Rebel Against Ordinary Design via our website www.raod.se, regardless of whether you order from Sweden, another EU/EEA country, the United Kingdom, or Norway.
The Terms are based on Swedish law (the Swedish Distance Contracts Act, SFS 2005:59, and the Swedish Consumer Sales Act, SFS 2022:260); however, since we sell to consumers in several countries, mandatory consumer protection rules under the relevant national legislation also apply where required (see Section 13).
Private individuals only: Our webshop is intended exclusively for private individuals (consumers) purchasing for purposes outside their trade, business, or profession. We do not sell to companies, associations, or other legal entities through the website, and orders placed for business purposes or for resale are not covered by these Terms and may be rejected or cancelled by us. By placing an order, you confirm that the purchase is made as a private individual.
1. Company Information
Rebel Against Ordinary Design Registration number: 559577-7250 E-mail: info@raod.se Website: www.raod.se
We design our own original prints, which are printed to order on garments and accessories (e.g. t-shirts, hoodies), and sell them through our webshop to customers in Sweden, the rest of the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, and Norway.
2. Formation of the Contract
A purchase agreement is formed when you place your order in the webshop and we confirm it via an order confirmation sent to your e-mail address. We recommend that you keep the order confirmation for future reference.
3. Prices, VAT, and Payment
All prices in the webshop are shown inclusive of applicable VAT for the country of delivery. The price shown at checkout is the total amount you pay to us — no additional VAT charges will be added by us.
Customs duties and import charges are not included. We do not handle customs duties, import VAT, or other charges that may be levied by customs authorities or the carrier upon delivery to countries outside the EU customs union (e.g. the United Kingdom and Norway). If such charges apply under the rules of the destination country, you as the customer are responsible for these costs, which are payable directly to the customs authority or carrier upon delivery. We recommend that customers in the United Kingdom or Norway check in advance what charges may apply in their country.
We reserve the right to adjust prices, but the price applicable at the time of your order is the one that applies.
Payment is made using the payment methods offered at checkout. Any payment fees (e.g. invoice fees) will be stated separately during checkout.
4. Ordering, Production, and Delivery
Our products are printed to order ("print on demand") after you place your order, which means there is a certain production time before the item is shipped. The estimated production and delivery time is stated at the time of ordering and in the order confirmation. Any delays will be communicated to you by e-mail.
Delivery time: The estimated delivery time is 8–10 working days. If an item is temporarily out of stock, we reserve the right to extend the delivery time in accordance with our suppliers' delivery schedules.
The stated delivery time is indicative only and not guaranteed. The date refers to the expected time at which the goods are anticipated to arrive at Rebel Against Ordinary Design, ready to be dispatched to you as the buyer.
Rebel Against Ordinary Design cannot be held liable for delays in delivery caused by the failure of third parties, such as suppliers or transport companies, or by any other event constituting force majeure (see Section 10). This applies to ordinary delays and does not limit your statutory rights under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act — should a delay become so significant that it constitutes a material breach of contract, you retain the right to cancel the purchase, claim damages, or exercise your right of withdrawal under Section 6, notwithstanding the above.
We are responsible for the goods during transport until you, as the consumer, have received them. Please inspect the parcel upon receipt — any transport damage must be reported to us and the carrier immediately.
5. Intellectual Property and Design Ownership
All original prints, motifs, and graphics used on our products are created by or for Rebel Against Ordinary Design and are automatically protected under the Swedish Copyright Act (SFS 1960:729) and corresponding copyright legislation within the EU and the United Kingdom, regardless of whether they are registered. New, original designs are normally also covered by unregistered EU design protection for three years from the date the design was first disclosed within the EU.
The names RUDE, SINNER, RUDE GAMERS, RUDE SKATERS, RUDE STREETWEAR, REBEL, and RUDE KID are used by us as signs/sub-brands for our product lines. We reserve the right to register these as trademarks and to oppose confusingly similar or misleading use of them by others to the extent possible under applicable marketing and competition law.
Regardless of the form of protection, unless expressly approved by us in writing, you may not:
Reproduce, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit our designs, prints, or graphics.
Manufacture or create works based on our original designs.
Use our designs, motifs, or signs, whether modified or not, on products for resale.
Remove or obscure any copyright or other intellectual property notice appearing on our products or website.
Limited license: upon purchasing a physical product, you acquire only ownership of that specific item — no license to reproduce or create new works from the design itself.
Unauthorised use may result in legal action under applicable Swedish, EU, and UK copyright and marketing law.
6. Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)
As a consumer within the EU/EEA and the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for distance purchases (Sweden: the Distance Contracts Act; corresponding rules apply under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU for other EU/EEA countries, and under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for customers in the United Kingdom).
Since our garments are printed to order but feature ready-made designs owned by us, the products are not considered "made to the consumer's specifications" or to have "been clearly personalised". You therefore have the full 14-day right of withdrawal, just as with the purchase of stocked goods.
Withdrawal period: 14 days after you receive the product.
Condition: The garment must not have been used, washed, worn, or altered. Tags must remain attached, and the item must be returned in its original condition/packaging where possible.
How to exercise your right of withdrawal: Notify us by e-mail (info@raod.se) or use the standard withdrawal form (available on request). We recommend keeping proof that the notice was sent.
Refund: Issued within 14 days of us receiving your withdrawal notice or the returned item, using the same payment method as the original transaction.
Return costs: You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Diminished value: You are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and function of the goods (e.g. visible wear, stains, odour, pet hair), which may be deducted from your refund.
Extended withdrawal period: If we have failed to inform you of your right of withdrawal, the period is extended to 12 months after the expiry of the original period.
Upcoming change (from 19 June 2026): A dedicated "withdrawal button" will be made available on the website in accordance with new Swedish legislation implementing EU Directive 2023/2673.
7. Complaints and Defects
Customers in Sweden are covered by the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (SFS 2022:260):
Right to complain for up to 3 years from receipt, for original defects.
A complaint made within 2 months of discovering the defect is always considered timely.
During the first 6 months, we bear the burden of proving that the defect did not exist at the time of delivery.
Customers within the rest of the EU/EEA have at least equivalent protection under the EU Sale of Goods Directive (2019/771), which guarantees a minimum complaint period of 2 years — we nevertheless apply the more generous Swedish 3-year rule to these customers as well, unless mandatory local legislation dictates otherwise.
Customers in the United Kingdom are covered by UK consumer law (the Consumer Rights Act 2015), which provides equivalent protection against faulty goods, including the right to repair, replacement, price reduction, or rejection, under the UK's own time limits and rules.
How to make a complaint: Contact us by e-mail, describe the defect, and attach photos if possible.
Remedies for an approved complaint: primarily repair or replacement; otherwise, a price reduction, cancellation of the purchase, or damages.
8. Right to Cancel an Order Before Delivery
You always have the right to cancel an order before delivery. If we have incurred costs in connection with the order, we may be entitled to claim compensation from you for these.
9. Product Safety and Chemicals
Our garments and packaging comply with applicable EU regulations (e.g. REACH) as well as corresponding UK and Norwegian regulations on chemical substances in consumer goods. Please contact us with any questions about materials and content.
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (war, natural disaster, government action, pandemic, major operational disruptions, etc.) that we could not reasonably have foreseen or avoided.
11. Personal Data (Privacy)
We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR. Full information is available in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms. Changes will be published on the website. Orders already placed are governed by the Terms that applied at the time the order was placed.
13. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and the agreement between you and us are, in principle, governed by Swedish law.
Business directed at your country: Since we actively sell and deliver to customers in Sweden, the rest of the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, and Norway — including by offering delivery to these countries and directing our marketing/webshop towards customers there — we are considered to be directing our activities towards these countries. This means that you, as a consumer, are always entitled to rely on the mandatory consumer protection applicable in your own country of residence, where it provides you with better protection than Swedish law. This applies as follows:
EU/EEA countries: Under Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I), Article 6, which ensures that mandatory consumer protection rules of the consumer's country of habitual residence apply to cross-border purchases within the EU/EEA, regardless of which country's law the contract otherwise refers to.
Norway: Norway has, through the EEA Agreement, implemented corresponding consumer protection directives into Norwegian law (including the Cancellation Act ("angrerettloven") and the Consumer Purchases Act ("forbrukerkjøpsloven")). Norwegian consumers therefore have, in practice, the same type of protection as EU consumers, though regulated under Norwegian legislation.
United Kingdom: The United Kingdom has retained the principle of the Rome I Regulation as domestic law following Brexit. UK consumers therefore have an equivalent right to rely on mandatory UK consumer protection legislation (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), notwithstanding that the contract otherwise refers to Swedish law.
In practice, this means that the protections described in these Terms (e.g. the right of withdrawal in Section 6 and the right to complain in Section 7) must be read together with, and may never result in a worse outcome than, the mandatory consumer protection applicable in your country of residence.
In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to first contact us at info@raod.se to seek a resolution.
Swedish consumers may contact the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, www.arn.se (fee: SEK 150).
Consumers in other EU/EEA countries, including Norway, may contact the national dispute resolution body in their own country. An up-to-date list is available from the European Commission: https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies.
Consumers in the United Kingdom are referred to relevant UK consumer advice services (e.g. Citizens Advice) or an applicable industry-specific dispute resolution body, where one exists.
